As 2019 concludes teen years of this century, it is also a time to reflect on our exciting journey starting from a dorm room at Oxford in 2011 to being incubated at the University of Oxford Software Incubator in 2012 and then our acquisition by Informa, a FTSE 100 company, in 2017. Throughout this journey, our mission has always been to deliver services that empower researchers and accelerate global research. We delivered on this promise in early years by providing research management and collaboration software for researchers, and later, by building on it to provide research intelligence about the state of the global research ecosystem through the launch of wizdom.ai in 2016.

All along since 2014, we had been working closely with Taylor & Francis (Informa), who shared our mission of accelerating research at a global scale and therefore the acquisition in 2017 provided a bigger platform for us to bring the power of wizdom.ai research management and intelligence to a much larger community. Taking this a step further, over the past 1.5 years, we have been working across departments at Taylor & Francis, spanning editorial, marketing and sales to supercharge internal processes through wizdom.ai research intelligence and building services for Taylor & Francis and the research communities it serves, while being true to our founding mission of accelerating research at a global scale.

2019 has been an exciting and busy year at wizdom.ai where we’ve been laser-focused on developing services for Taylor & Francis while working with amazing colleagues across our parent organisation. Over the next year, we look forward to rolling out and continuing to build cutting edge, AI-powered services for Taylor & Francis authors, reviewers, editors, research communities/societies it serves, and other partners in curating and disseminating world-class research.

Happy holidays from everyone at wizdom.ai and stay tuned for exciting updates in 2020.
